Gastrobar El Tendal
San Andrés y Sauces · El Tendal Archaeological Park · La Palma
Opening hours: from 11:00
A gastrobar inside the El Tendal Archaeological Park in San Andrés y Sauces, next to the caves where La Palma’s first inhabitants lived. From its tables by the large windows you look over the green ravine and, in the distance, the Atlantic. The cooking mixes La Palma produce —grilled cheese with mojo, local chorizo, gofio escaldón— with signature dishes such as burrata with pistachio pesto or tenderloin in the house sauce. A great place to eat after a walk in the north-east or a visit to the archaeological site.

We did the Charco Azul adventure and started here. We ate at a table by the window, looking out over the ravine: the grilled cheese with coriander mojo was outstanding.

A peaceful place with incredible views. Everything made with island produce and very well explained. The best part of our trip around the north-east.
